This is an 8 disc box set covering 20 years of the Beach Boys music from 1968 thru 1988. The packaging is very nice, the discs are all 24k gold, and it includes a nice booklet with plenty of pictures and press clippings and a comprehensive track listing (with a smattering of errors). Like Part 1, this set offers few items that aren't available on other bootlegs, but few (in comparison) were actually taken from legitimately released CDs (i.e. the GV box set). The set does help out by assembling some miscellaneous tracks released only as singles or on compilations. However, in listening to a fair amount of these tracks, it's easy to understand why some of these tracks are 'hard to find' or have been left as outtakes. In summary, like Part 1, this set is good for completists who currently own little of the included boot material, but includes some extra tracks that may make even diehard fans cringe. Sound quality varies, but in general is quite good.
